My photography journey isn't one that you would describe as love at first sight or where I always knew I wanted to be a wedding photographer.

At 13, my dad gave me my first camera -- it was a Canon film camera. At that young age, I was more interested in trying to learn about my camera equipment than the artistic skill behind taking a photograph. Creating art through photos and learning how to capture someone's unique story through my lens came later as I gained 15 years of experience in taking photos. Through the learning process, I learned how to capture and preserve every memory and moment. In the beginning, I found learning about photography to be so overwhelming and while I didn't know it at the time, it taught me to be intentional with how I capture each moment.

From that moment on, I found myself photographing every memory, every milestone, preserving and cherishing memories of my loved ones.

It wasn't until after my own wedding that I began to pursue wedding photography. 15 years after I first picked up a Canon film camera, I picked up my camera once again to begin capturing the most joyous day for all couples. Looking back at my journey as an artist,  I've realized that photography has been around me my entire life without even knowing it.

Honestly, photography found me.
